Meghan McCain Says 'Deeply Unpleasant' Jennifer Lopez Was 'Not Nice' to Her on 'The View'

Meghan McCain claims that Jennifer Lopez was "deeply unpleasant" when she was on 'The View.'

Meghan McCain is doubling down on her negative take on Jennifer Lopez. The 39-year-old conservative commentator and former co-host of The View spoke about recent negative commentary surrounding Lopez in the wake of her canceled tour and rumors of marriage struggles with her husband, Ben Affleck

"I actually feel bad now because I feel like we're turning a point where there's bullying happening to J.Lo, and I don't want to add to that," McCain shared on the latest episode of her Citizen McCain podcast. "She just is a deeply unpleasant person."

Saying that Lopez, 54, was "not nice" when she appeared as a guest on The View, McCain added, "Whatever, you don't always have to be so nice. It was just surprising given that people like Kim Kardashian couldn't be more delightful. Also, when you're coming on a show for a 10-minute segment… just fake it 'till you make it for 10 f**king minutes."

McCain added that Lopez and her legal team allegedly had a recent Citizen McCain TikTok video about Lopez that went viral briefly taken down.

"But then it got put back up. She had it taken down for terms of violation for bullying…. Allegedly!" McCain claimed.

The video in question was published in April, and featured McCain discussing her past experiences with Lopez on The View. It went viral, amassing more than two million views.

"I have a bad J.Lo story too. She came on The View many times as a guest, not my favorite. Not my favorite," McCain said in the viral clip. "Some of the biggest celebrities I've ever met in my entire life, I mean, giant celebrities have maybe one publicist with them. Jennifer Lopez has more people traveling with her than the president. I'm not kidding."

McCain also shared a story, alleging that one of Lopez's employees had an unusual job.

"I'm going to get in so much trouble for this, but my big memory of J.Lo is there was a person whose entire job was to hold up a mirror with lights while they were touching her up backstage," she recalled. "I remember thinking, 'That poor man. What a weird job. He probably went to art school or something and had dreams of being a musician and he's like, 'I hold J.Lo's light.'"

Rumors surrounding Lopez and Affleck continue as the couple tried to quietly put their $60.8 million home on the market after purchasing the Beverly Hills property in May 2023.

The news of the sale comes amid split rumors surrounding the couple -- who tied the knot during two different ceremonies in 2022. In May, a source told ET that Affleck and Lopez were "continuing to take space from each other."

The same month, another source told ET that the pair were "going through some problems."

The same month, another source told ET that the pair were "going through some problems" amid the chatter about a split.

Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance in 2021 -- and tied the knot in both Las Vegas and Georgia in 2022. Despite the speculation surrounding their relationship status, Affleck and Lopez have put on a united front in recent weeks, showing a little PDA in Santa Monica and attending Affleck's daughter, Violet's, graduation celebration together.

On May 31, Lopez announced that she would be canceling her This Is Me...Live Tour as she is "taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends."
