Wells Adams and Sarah Hyland Engaged -- See His Romantic Proposal!

The news comes nearly two years after they started dating.

Congrats to Wells Adams and Sarah Hyland

The couple got engaged, they revealed on Instagram on Tuesday, alongside a video of Adams' romantic proposal. The news comes nearly two years after they started dating in October 2017.

"I'll be Johnny, you be June. But forever," Adams captioned the sweet clip. "?- Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors."

The video shows the Bachelor in Paradise star getting down on one knee and proposing to Hyland on their tropical vacation. Adorable photos of the pair throughout the years are interspliced in the clip, which ends with snaps of them showing off Hyland's gorgeous ring.

The Modern Family star added photos of the beachside proposal to her Instagram, writing, "That can't eat, can't sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff ✨❤️ @wellsadams."

Rumors circulated earlier this month that Adams had proposed to Hyland after fans spotted the actress wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring on her Instagram Story, though the couple didn't comment on the reports.

The pair has, however, been open about the fact that their relationship was heading towards marriage, with Adams recently sharing his plans to buy a ring for Hyland. He's been by her side through her health issues and battles with body shamers; in an interview with ET last October, Hyland called Adams her "knight in shining armor."

Adams and Hyland met for the first time in 2017 just three days before Hyland underwent her second kidney transplant. The operation meant the beginning of their relationship was wrapped up in Hyland's health concerns, but as Adams told ET in January, loving Hyland through it all was never even a question.

"It's not hard to love her. She's gorgeous and beautiful and smart and talented... With her health issues and stuff, everyone goes through things in their lives, it just so happened that when we started dating she was going through a very big thing," he said. "But as our lives unfold together, there's going to be things that happen to me when I'm going to lean on her. Every relationship's a give and take."

"It was nice that I was able to help her with her issue, but there will be times when I need her help," he added.

As for Hyland's engagement ring, the actress told ET back in March 2018 that she already knew what she wanted.

"Um, I'm a 27-year-old woman, of course I have," she told ET, laughing. "I'm a 27-year-old woman at a jeweler's event, of course I have."

"He knows what it is, so it's fine," she added.
