Whether they were first friends, co-stars, or longtime lovers, these 11 celebrity couples have had the biggest love stories of the decade. The Hollywood A-lister had been known for his many relationships and life as a bachelor. Then in 2013, George met Amal Alamuddin, a brilliant human rights lawyer, and his world changed forever. Things moved fast for the two, who in April of 2014 got engaged after just months of dating. All eyes were always on the stunning couple, who exuded elegance and sophistication with their regal fashion ensembles, wherever they went. George and Amal officially became husband and wife on Sept. 27, 2014 in a breathtaking wedding in Venice, Italy. In 2017, it was announced that George and Amal were expecting twins together.

The relatively private pair welcomed son Alexander and daughter Ella, in June 2017, and have yet to share photos of their little ones. While they may keep their family out of the public eye, the actor continues to share stories about how much he loves his wife, and admires her.

There's no denying that these two perfectly complement each other -- and know how to keep us all entertained. Their love story began in 2007 when they first met on the set of Legend's "Stereo" music video. After four years of dating, Legend proposed to Teigen in December of 2011, with their love story inspiring the singer's most romantic song to date, "All of Me."

The two married on Sept. 14, 2013 in Lake Como, surrounded by friends and family. However, once they were ready to start a family, Teigen opened up about her struggles with fertility. But things quickly turned around for the pair when they announced that they were expecting their first child in 2015. The two are now parents to 3-year-old daughter Luna and 1-year-old son Miles, and keep their fans updated daily on their home lives, which we all love.

It's been a Kardashian-filled decade, but no Kardashian-Jenner relationship was more talked about and celebrated than Kim and Kanye's. The two got engaged on Oct. 21, 2013, and seven months later, on May 24, 2014, they became husband and wife during a lavish Florence, Italy, wedding. The couple's nuptials were a much-talked-about affair, with a slew of celebs in attendance and the media going wild to catch a glimpse of the reality star's wedding gowns.

Since then, the twosome has made plenty of headlines, started trends, built their empire and, of course, expanded their family. Kim and Kanye are parents to four children -- daughters North, 6, and Chicago, 1, and sons Saint, 3, and Psalm, 6 months. The lovebirds have always shared their lives with the public, admitting that they have their ups and downs, but are always there for each other.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's romance is straight out of a fairy tale. The royal couple have become one of the most-talked-about couples ever since rumors began circulating that they were dating in late 2016. The prince and the former Suits star tried to keep their relationship on the down-low, but couldn't hide from the cameras. Come 2017, the pair continued to get more serious, going on a series of vacations together and making their first public appearance together at the Audi Polo Challenge in Ascot, England, in May of that year. Things moved fast over the holidays, when Meghan moved across the pond days before Kensington Palace confirmed that the two were engaged on Nov. 27 and were planning to tie the knot in spring 2018.

From there, Meghan took on her royal duties, spending Christmas with Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of Harry's royal family, and leaving her Hollywood life behind to become the Duchess of Sussex on May 19, 2018. Five months after the whole world watched as the two became husband and wife, they announced that they were expecting their first child together. The couple welcomed their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on May 6, 2019. While their romance has been a whirlwind, the two have proven that they are meant to be.

These two are the power couple we didn't know we needed! J.Lo has had her fair share of romances over the years, but none compare to her relationship with the former New York Yankee. Lopez and Rodriguez first connected in March of 2017, when the pair confirmed that they were dating. The glamorous duo would step out dressed to the nines for their date nights, making their red carpet debut as a couple at the Met Gala. The two, who had both previously been married, appeared to be getting more serious as their kids would regularly spend time together and celebrated their first Christmas as a blended household.

Naturally, the big question eventually became, "When will you two get engaged?" J-Rod would always say they were taking their time, but on March 9, 2019, the athlete proposed and finally put a ring on it. 2020 will be an even bigger year for the two, as they walk down the aisle and say "I do."

Being one of the most popular and powerful duos comes with its ups and downs. The pair, who started dating after collaborating on the 2002 hit "'03 Bonnie and Clyde," tied the knot in a secret ceremony on April 4, 2008. Bey and Jay have been through a lot in their time as a married couple, from epic pregnancy announcements and heartbreaking miscarriage revelations to Lemonade, elevators and everything in between.

Beyoncé kicked it into high gear in 2011 when she returned from her career hiatus, delivering her fourth studio album that included "Run the World (Girls)" and "Love on Top," and announcing that she was pregnant during the MTV Video Music Awards. The hip-hop superstars then welcomed daughter Blue Ivy on Jan. 7, 2012. However, things turned sour for the pair after the 2014 Met Gala when surveillance footage surfaced of Solange Knowles lunging at her brother-in-law in an elevator.

Rumors ran rampant that the spat was related to infidelity on Jay’s part, but the family stayed mum at the time, putting out a statement that said, in part, “The most important thing is that our family has worked through it." As the years went by, the pair would go on to reveal even more details of their marital struggles, with songs on Bey's Lemonade that featured direct lyrics about JAY-Z's infidelity, and the rapper's 4:44 LP, which also addressed many of the same issues. In 2017, the couple welcomed their twins, daughter Rumi, and son Sir. Since then, they have embarked on a second world tour together, On the Run II, released a joint album, Everything Is Love, and continue to be one of the most talked-about couples who have worked their problems out.

As much as fans hoped that these two would work things out, it all came to an end in 2019. The one couple on this list that didn't have a happy ending, Cyrus and Hemsworth first met on the set of 2009's The Last Song and began dating soon after. The two quickly fell for one another, getting engaged in 2012 before splitting for the first time in 2013. By 2016, they were back together and even weathered losing their home in a wildfire. They surprised fans by secretly getting married in December of 2018.

However, on Aug. 10, 2019, Cyrus was spotted kissing Kaitlynn Carter during a trip to Lake Como that truly surprised everyone. Hours later, it was confirmed that Cyrus and Hemsworth had split and, eventually, Hemsworth filed for divorce. It was a couple many were rooting for, but in the end, it wasn't meant to be.

The two are a match made in heaven. Shakira had just come out of an 11-year relationship when she first met the soccer player on the set of her music video for "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)," which was the official 2010 FIFA World Cup song. The two bonded over soccer, with Shakira performing at the World Cup and Pique's national team, Spain, coming out on top.

By 2011, the two were officially an item. A year later they announced that they were expecting their first child together. Shakira gave birth to their son, Milan, on Jan. 22, 2013. They welcomed a second son, Sasha, two years later on Jan. 29, 2015. The two are not married, and the singer has been vocal about having no plans to become husband and wife. Shakira mentioned in an interview with Glamour that they love each other and have a family together, marriage isn't going to change anything -- proving that tying the knot isn't the end all be all for these two.

The last decade has been a very important one for the "Livin' La Vida Loca" singer, who publicly came out as gay on March 29, 2010. While he was in a relationship with Carlos González Abella from 2008 to 2014, things changed for the Puerto Rican singer when he began dating Jwan Yosef in April of 2016. At that time, Martin was already a father to almost 8-year-old twin boys, Matteo and Valentino, and it was evident that he wanted to have someone special join their family.

After just six months of dating, Martin proposed to Yosef. The pair secretly got married in 2017, later confirming the news in 2018. Since then, Martin and Yosef have lived their lives in the public eye, and continued to expand their family, welcoming their daughter, Lucia, at the end of 2018. Their family of four turned into a family of five in October, when they became parents to son Renn.

The former U.S. president and first lady had been married long before we entered the decade, but their love truly became something to look up to over the last few years. Barack and Michelle got married in 1992, welcoming their daughters, Malia, in 1998 and, Sasha, in 2001. They set foot in the White House in 2009, with Barack leading the U.S. until 2017. Whenever they would tend to their political and public affairs, the love and respect between the two was undeniable.

In November of 2018, Michelle published her memoir, Becoming, which detailed her life before and with Barack, their time in the White House, all the sacrifices she made, and the secret to their happy and lasting marriage. Now, after 27 years of marriage, the two continue to work together, inspire couples and serve as role models for many.

The reality star couple that has made it work! Lowe, an entrepreneur and former Bachelorette contestant, is the only Bachelor to marry his final pick. After starring on season 17 of The Bachelor and giving his last rose to Giudici, the two got married in September 2014.

The couple welcomed their first child together, son Samuel, in July 2016, followed by their second son, Isaiah, who arrived in May of 2018. The pair is happily married and in June announced that they were going to have a third baby.
